On this historical day, 28th February 2013, the Pontiff Benedict XVI, Head of the Catholic Church, has resigned at 20h00. The seat of the Holy See is for the first time in the history of the Catholic Church vacant not because the Pope passed away, neither because political circumstances forced him to act so like it occasionally happened centuries ago, but because the Pope decided, on a supposedly voluntary will, to climb down the thrown of Rome because of ill health. As a Polish cardinal has already pointed out, Jesus did not climb down from the cross because he was suffering, why did Pope Benedict XVI have too? What will be the power of the Pontiff Emeritus versus that of the new Pontiff to be appointed in the upcoming conclave?
Let’s be clear, we had a rigorous catholic upbringing but we do not practice our faith as we are very sceptic about religion and we always seek a scientific explanation for everything. But there are situations where science can’t yet provide an answer because our mind is not yet capable to comprehend. Humans consider these situations as paranormal, spiritual, beyond explanation or simply faith. Till we gain the knowledge to explain certain coincidence of events and situations, we will be using this blog to speculate what could be happening now and what direction the world history will take in the near future.
In these interesting times of change a lot is happening. We shall try to untangle chaos and speak about of what might come! We might as well be wrong but at least we’d have the satisfaction of having tried to make sense of chaos!
